About MIDRANGE

Midrange is a space to highlight and encourage art and culture in Vancouver. We work with artists across mediums such as music, film, photography and food to spotlight what’s good in Vancouver and beyond. We dissect cultural trends, showcase new and noteworthy music, and conduct deep dives into films and albums that had an impact on us. Midrange is also the host space for podcasts Track & Food, Beats On Repeat, and Flux. As Midrange grows we aim to give those living in Vancouver a platform to show their work, or analyze that of others.

Daniel Williams @danielthomaswilliams - PHOTOGRAPHY

Daniel Williams is a photographer and chef from Crescent Beach. An alumni of the Langara photography program, he focused on all things film and still prefers a print. He has exhibited and arranged art in Vancouver, with shows at Antisocial, The Cutty Gallery, and 714 Jackson’s “Sooner or Later” being some of the favourites. He has self-published photography collections, most notably his books, Good Luck Alone, and Honeymoon. Daniel has worked in kitchens he has loved (and otherwise) but would rather not be called “chef” unless he can call you “boss.” Having worked in Scotland on the finer sorts of things, he also ran his own services in private pop-up events in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Vancouver. Most recently, he has worked at Dachi in the Sunrise Hastings neighbourhood of Vancouver where he displayed an obvious affection for vegetables.
